Welcome to the Privacy Policy for myHorse by SandScript (the "Application"), a proprietary service of SandScript Software LLC. This policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information.
2. Information We Collect
- Contact Info: Name, Email, and Phone Number for account verification and updates.
- Usage Data: Information about how you interact with your horse syndicates.
- Location Data: With your permission, we collect precise and approximate device location to provide location-based features within the App. You can disable location access at any time in your device settings; some features may be limited as a result.
- Payment Information: When you make a purchase or payment through the App (e.g., syndicate fees), payment details are collected and processed by our payment processors, Stripe and Google Pay. We do not store your full card number on our servers.
- Photos and Media: If you upload photos (e.g., horse images, documents, or a signature) using your camera or photo library, we store and display that content within your account.
- Screen Name: A display name you choose (or that is assigned to your account), shown to other Horse Owners in your syndicate in place of your real name.
- Messages: If you use the App's messaging features — syndicate news announcements, syndicate group chat, or private one-on-one messages between a Horse Owner and Syndicate Manager — we collect and store the content of those messages.
- Device and Advertising Identifiers: We may collect device identifiers (such as the Android Advertising ID) via Google Play Services for app functionality, diagnostics, and analytics.
- Push Notification Data: If you enable notifications, we collect a device token (via Firebase Cloud Messaging) to deliver horse training updates, race notifications, and syndicate news to your device.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information above to operate and improve the App, verify your account, process payments you authorize, provide location-based features you opt into, deliver the notifications and messages you send or request, and maintain the security and reliability of the service.
4. Information Visible to Other Users
Because myHorse by SandScript is used to manage shared ownership of horses, some information about you is visible to other members of your syndicate, depending on their role:
- Horse Owners see only the screen names of other Horse Owners in their syndicate. Your real name, email address, and phone number are not shown to other Horse Owners.
- Syndicate Managers can see the name, email address, and phone number of the Horse Owners and Horse Trainers in the syndicates they manage, as needed to operate and administer the syndicate.
5. Data Sharing and Disclosure
We do not sell, rent, or disclose your personal data to third parties for their own marketing purposes. We do share limited information with trusted service providers strictly to operate the App on our behalf, specifically:
- Stripe and Google Pay — to process payments you initiate.
- Firebase / Google Play Services — to deliver push notifications and support app diagnostics and security.
These providers are contractually restricted to using your information only to provide services to us and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes.
SMS Consent Data
No mobile information will be shared with third parties/affiliates for marketing/promotional purposes. All the above categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.
6. Data Security
We use commercially reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Your Choices
You can disable location access, camera access, and push notifications at any time through your device's settings. Disabling these permissions may limit certain features of the App.
8. Children's Privacy
The App is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
